Advocates are dreamers who have devoted their dreams to helping others.  They are social beings and, as such, their arts are often of little importance to them.  They find aiding and assisting other dreamers to be more rewarding than the pursuit of strength.  Advocates are very useful as councilors and diplomats.

Dreamseers understand the inner workings of the Dream.  Their arts use Insight to allow them to slip through warded portals, imbue talismans with power, conceal themselves from view, and damage others with but a glance.   The abilities of a Dreamseer can be used for many purposes, from scholarly pursuits to spying and scouting.

Dreamsmiths are masters of creation.  They can shape and mold the fabric of the dream into many useful forms, creating tools, items, and weapons.  These useful skills are always highly sought after.  Dreamsmiths begin able only to craft small, minor items.  With great perseverance and practice, however, a Master Dreamsmith can craft talismans of immense power.

Fatesenders use Lucidity to control the perceptions of dreamers.  Their arts allow them to frighten others, bring darkness upon entire rooms, or cause firestorms to wreak havoc on their enemies.  Widely perceived as tricksters, Fatesenders have a penchant for tempting and even directing fate.

Gatekeepers are adept in the use of Willpower.  Their main strength is in being able to resist, and aid other dreamers in resisting manipulation.  Gatekeepers also have the ability to lock areas of the Dream and bar others from passing.  They are often seen as the warriors and protectors of the Dream.

Kabalists are dreamers who have chosen the dependability and surety of talismans over the unpredictability and drain of arts.  They hoard talismans of all shape and sizes, and make use of them extensively.  Due to their focus on talismans, they are able to use them a great deal more effectively than normal dreamers; they are able to use talismans of greater power, and can regulate the use of energy allowing them to use the talisman more times.

Scholars are teachers who have focused their dreams on the advancement of arts.  They seek to learn all they can, and share their knowledge with others.  While no other dreamers can match their capacity for learning arts, their focus has left them with little skill at using talismans.

Soulmasters are adept at manipulating the essence of the Dream, especially as it is involved with avatars.  Their Resilience enables them to heal avatars, but also allows them to cause damage with poisons and curses.  Often seen just as healers, Soulmasters can be formidable warriors, as well.
