Hey everyone!
My name is Michael, but some of you may know me better as "Lyra-Void" after reading my Dev Journal from last week. The Underlight veterans among you may recognize me as "Tary" or "Taryag." Having been a menace to Underlight for over six years (restoring mares, stealing prime artifacts, and playing a hated character in Underlight), I am ecstatic to finally see (and be a part of) Lyra Studios' next title.
I began working on Reclamation over a year ago when I was asked if I wanted to attend a team meeting (I was a member of Underlight's Development team at the time). I naturally said yes - who wouldn't want to be a part of something so exciting?
I started off slowly with some small projects, and slowly found my place with the coding team where I've been working on gameplay ever since. As I mentioned in my journal: gameplay coding is certainly challenging, but rewarding at the same time. It's challenging in the sense that there's two sides to the equation, even when just dealing with the client (what if I'm the evoker? Or being evoked upon?). Nevertheless, it's incredible to see Reclamation coming to life. I can safely say that Reclamation is a game unlike any other, and I believe it will stand out because it is a truly unique role-playing game.
So whether you're old or new, pull down the lap bars in front of you and fasten your seatbelts... you're in for a wild ride.
