Hi everyone. I'm Marc, level builder non-extraordinary. I'm not a very original guy, but I build levels for Reclamation. Funny how that works, huh? Oh well, some history.
I started playing Underlight when it came out in '98 on Mplague. Been playing off and on (but mostly off) since then. Did my time in the whole Half-Life and Counterstrike thing. I learned to use Worldcraft to build HL levels, which I had lots of fun with.
In 2003, I joined the Underlight GM team. Been having lots of fun there. But no, alas, I'm not going to reveal who my characters are/were yet. Except to those who feel the urge to send Lyra a small plush donkey, some cucumbers, a wild ferret, and a couple thousand dollars. Those people can know anything about me they want.
One day Lyra-Martin asked me if I still liked building levels. That got me started on the team that's making the whole new world. Martin patiently puts up with my lack of originality as I plod along, working diligently off of Emil's concept art. My best levels thus far already have a few screen shots on the website. Just look for pictures with a lot of green and yellow in them.
Developing Reclamation has been an amazing experience that I hope I get to continue with Lyra Studios. I went to E3 this year and frankly, the only game I saw that rivals our graphics is EverQuest2. The only game that rivals our game play? None. It's just that simple.
I love(d) playing Underlight. I love working on Reclamation. And I'm sure I will love playing Reclamation.
